Physicist

Experience in both Windows and LINUX operating systems a must. The ideal candidate performs productively in a fast-paced work environment, has great communication skills, works well independently and as part of a team, is passionate about their work and is eager to be part of a dynamic group of focused and creative individuals.

The employee is expected to design, development, and implement creative solutions in a collaborative environment. Candidate must be able to apply sound engineering principles and to complete assigned tasks and meet scheduled commitments. Solutions must be consistent with organizational objectives and processes.

Candidate will possess the ability to develop physics based models and algorithms that support development and verification of sensors and sensor systems. Modeling efforts include perception systems such as infrared, color cameras, and laser ranging systems, positioning systems such as Global Positioning Systems and Inertial Navigation Systems, object tracking systems and vehicle/mechanical dynamics and controls. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for conducting model verification and validation efforts including field tests as necessary and developing model reports and presentations.

Qualifications include:

-       BS in Engineering/Physics/Math/Computer Science with 5+ years experience
-       MS or PhD desired
-       Must be eligible for Security Clearance
-       Linux and Windows
-       MatLab, Simulink or Octave
-       C/C++
-       Background with DOD VV&A and CMMI a plus
-       Optics Modeling
-       Signatures Modeling
-       Control Systems
-       Platform dynamics (air, ground and water)
-       System modeling and performance assessment
-       Hardware in the loop
